Families, Agencies Invited to Attend Winter Statewide Meeting Matching Reception

The Department of Human Services, Office of Children, Youth and Families, Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) and Independent Living Services (IL) will sponsor a Matching Reception on January 22, 2020 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at the 2020 SWAN/IL Winter Statewide Meeting, held at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, State College.

Agencies can reserve table space online through January 8, 2020.  Space is available on a first come, first served basis, and table registrations are confirmed by email. Questions can be directed to the SWAN conferencing department.

Agencies are encouraged to invite prospective adoptive families to participate.  Families interested in attending should pre-register online or by completing and mailing the 2020 Family Registration Form included with the Guide for Families by January 15, 2020. Family-related questions may be directed to the SWAN Helpline at (800) 585-7926.

Matching events introduce prospective and approved adoptive families to workers who promote children waiting for permanency. County caseworkers and affiliate workers who conduct child-specific recruitment can showcase waiting children directly to families. Families will learn more about individual children in Pennsylvania who are in need of permanent homes.  We look forward to seeing you in State College.
