Description

The 33rd Annual Pennsylvania Permanency Conference will be held June 18-20, 2025, at the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Pocono Manor, PA. The Permanency Conference is sponsored by the Department of Human Services, Office of Children Youth and Families, the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) and Independent Living Services. This annual event brings resource families and child welfare professionals together to foster teamwork and collaboration in achieving permanent connections for all children and youth.

The conference offers more than 40 workshops covering various permanency-related topics, inspiring keynote presentations, an awards ceremony, and a Family Fun Night.

A Matching Reception is also scheduled for June 17, 2025, at 5:30 PM. During the reception, families meet with agency caseworkers to learn about Pennsylvania children waiting for permanency.

We are thrilled to be able to provide a limited number of family scholarships for this event. Families who meet the following criteria are welcome to apply:

• First-time recipients only,
• A resident of Pennsylvania,
• A current foster, kinship, or permanent legal custodianship family, or
• A prospective or current adoptive family.

The scholarship includes the conference registration fee, conference meals, overnight accommodations and child/teen care. Scholarship recipients must make their own travel arrangements.

To be considered for a scholarship, you may complete the 2025 Family Scholarship Application found online at https://cvent.me/472bBq or download a copy and return it via US Mail to the address at the bottom by February 21, 2025.
