Description
Family Preparation is for all families whether they come to us through kinship care, PLC, foster to adopt or non-relative adoption. Emergency caregivers often come without planning to and with little advance notice about monumental changes in their lives. In many cases, preparing these families for adoption happens after the child is residing with them rather than before. This means some families may need even more preparation to prepare them for their new role. This training will consider when and how the SWAN family profile process can be used for kinship caregivers and the benefits of committing to the entire process.
