The 27th Annual Pennsylvania Permanency Conference will be held June 12-14, 2019, at the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in the Pocono Mountains. The Permanency Conference is sponsored by the Department of Human Services, Office of Children Youth and Families, Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) and Independent Living Services. This annual event is designed to focus on ways families and professionals from all aspects of the child welfare system can support one another and work together to achieve permanent connections for all children and youth.
The conference offers more than 40 workshops and institutes addressing a variety of topics regarding permanency for children and youth in out-of-home care and the families who serve them, as well as, inspiring keynote presentations, an awards ceremony and a Family Fun Night. A Matching Reception is also scheduled for June 11, 2019 at for those interested in adding a child to their family.
